Is it OK to take prenatal vitamins five months before trying to get pregnant? And is it OK to take a prenatal vitamin along with a one-a-day, or one or the other? Thank you.

Not only is it OK to take prenatal vitamins prior to conception, it is recommended. It is also OK to take prenatal vitamins along with a one-a-day, but it is neither necessary nor recommended. I would advise prenatal vitamins with iron, as long as that low dose of iron is tolerated.
