Is it possible to get an LH surge on an ovulation predictor test kit and still not actually ovulate?
LH is the hormone that normally will trigger ovulation. There is a small group of patients who have what is known as lutenized unruptured follicle syndrome (LUF). In this group of patients, they do not ovulate, and the egg is trapped within the ovary. This is not common and is typically found in women using ovulation induction medications. If you have concern as to whether you are ovulating, I would recommend your seeking a consultation with a reproductive endocrinologist."
