If I am prone to urinary tract infections, will it hurt my chance of getting pregnant if I cannot lie down for 30 minutes after having intercourse? I usually urinate immediately after intercourse. Will just a few minutes lying down or none at all effect conception?
Just lying down for a few minutes after intercourse is all the time needed for those quick sperm to make their way through the cervix and uterus and into the fallopian tubes. You do not have to wait for 30 minutes to empty your bladder, as it is best to avoid urinary tract infections if you were to conceive.
