Expert Q&A

If I conceived with Clomid for my first pregnancy, will I need to go the same route for a second pregnancy?

If I was diagnosed with short luteal phase and conceived twins with Clomid for my first pregnancy, will I need to go the same route for a second pregnancy? I have been trying to get pregnant for almost a year.

Answer:

Each pregnancy is independent. However, with a previous history of a short luteal phase in the past and no success for a year, I would recommend that you seek evaluation with a reproductive endocrinologist who can do all the appropriate testing and place you on the appropriate protocols to help you to achieve a successful pregnancy."
