Hi, my name is Deisha Stafford and I am 20 years old. I am an
Administrative Specialist at the SC Criminal Justice Academy in Columbia,
SC. My DH, Tavar Stafford, is 22 years old and is self-employed. We have
been married since March 4, 1999, but have been in a relationship since
November 1996. I have a 6 year old son from a previous relationship and
he has a 3 year old son. We have been actively TTC since early 1998,
but have not taken any drastic measures to prevent it from happening since
about March 1997. After I had my son in June 1993, I had the Norplant put
in and had it removed in November 1996 because of blood clots forming. I
was on the Pill until March 1997, which is when I stopped taking it by
accident.
What we are suffering from is secondary infertility. We really
would love to have a child of our own together. We both have a child, but
it is not the same when you don't have one together. This is why we really
desire to have a child or maybe two if we get over this hurdle. I decided
to join the diaries to share this journey with other women who are going
through the same thing I am going through. Thank you for letting me
