Jessica's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

September 14, 2000

Well, I had my 38-week appointment today. Not a whole lot of change. My cervix is soft, but still pretty thick and I'm dilated to almost 2 centimeters. I'm enjoying this last little bit of pregnancy as much as I can :). I'm pretty uncomfortable here! But, he's definitely dropped! I woke up one morning and the nice little shelf that was my belly has significantly lower than the night before. We're making progress!

Don will hopefully be up here to visit for the weekend tomorrow night, but maybe not until Saturday morning because he has some military dinner function to attend tomorrow evening and may be too tired to make the two and a half hour drive. I can't wait to see him. We're going up to North Georgia for the weekend to spend some time together. We should have a lot of fun!

Let's see, what else. I finished one of my assignments for my midwifery course so I'm really proud of myself for that. I need to try to work on it some more tomorrow. Hopefully I can get my initial assignments out of the way before Ben gets here, but I doubt it. I'll just have to work as much as I can afterwards.

My animals are all doing well. Hokey isn't sick anymore and he's just so frisky! He attacks anything that moves! I miss the little guy. Don brought him up to see me last weekend and it's so sweet when I'm in bed and he just cuddles up next to me and purrs. He knows I'm his mommy. :) I can't wait to be able to get back home.

So, T - 13 days to my due date. We're almost there!!
