Jessica's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

August 2, 2000

We had our second Bradley class tonight. We have lots of fun there! :) We watched a video and went over the coach's role in labor and pregnancy. We've decided to double up a lot of the classes so we can finish before I go to Atlanta to have the baby.

My baby shower was on Sunday and that was a riot! The day started with me being kicked in the bladder. Joy. Then my sister calls and says that my 3-year-old nephew decided to help himself to a bit of my cake(the really nice cake I was having brought in from Atlanta) but she fixed it. Scared me! Then, this was supposed to be a pool party but it starts to rain. The back-up location was supposed to be the apartment of the person with the pool BUT his roommate suddenly decides that, no, there should be no shower in that apartment. They weren't ready for one. So, off we go in search of a new place to host the party. The hostess is furious, I'm upset, my sister has to go back to Atlanta, and my nephew wants cake. Finally we get to the new location and all gets started. We had a great time and played the guess-how-big-mommy-is game. And we played a game where we pinned diapers on water balloons. It turned into a big water fight! Hehehehe. I got a lot of the things I needed so we're almost set! I love my friends so much for working so hard to put the shower together. They're all so sweet!

So, that was my week. I have one last appointment with my current doctor on the 10th and then it's Atlanta-only appointments for me! See ya next week.
