Jessica's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 25, 2000

I had my doctor appointment today. I actually gained some weight! Three pounds, to be exact. I was wondering when I'd start gaining. I don't wanna gain too much, but I needed to gain at least a little! My big ultrasound has been scheduled for May 22 so everyone send vibes for baby to open his/her legs :). I can't wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl. Don's pretty excited about that, too. I also went over my birthplan with my doctor today and he agreed with everything in it so we should be OK there. The only thing he said was that he doesn't mind me drinking clear fluids but eating probably isn't a good idea during labour because I might get sick. I can deal with that. But I'm very happy that he's OK with the rest. I'm probably signing up for Bradley classes in July. That's when the lady starts her next session that I'll be far enough along for. Things are starting to get a bit more exciting, I guess. Wow, 18 weeks behind me. It doesn't seem like that long.

Don and I are going to Atlanta this weekend and I'm going with my grandmother to look at baby things and she says she might buy me something while we're there. My grandfather was at the mall the other morning getting coffee after his walk and he saw some other man showing off pictures of his new grandbaby and he got all happy and said, "Just wait until September or October. Then I'll show you my new GREAT grandbaby. He's so excited :).

Well, that's about it for now! Until next time.
