Jessica's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 6, 2000

Woohoo! A week with nothing bad happening! I'm feeling mostly OK (still really tired) and I THINK I may have felt the baby moving. It was so strange. Felt like butterflies in my tummy, but lower but also like bubbles. I felt it last night (Wednesday) and the night before. Could have been gas because I'm so early, though.

I'm 15 weeks now and I'm starting to want to decorate the nursery. But, I think I should probrably still wait. I guess some part of me is still afraid that something will go wrong because I'm still nervous telling any family but the immediate family. I know that at this point it's unlikely that something will happen but still. I'm a scardey cat. Maybe when I get to 20 weeks I'll start buying? Who knows. I just want the nursery to look all pretty.

In symptoms, I have two new lovely things to report.

1) I'm leaking colostrum! Woohoo. I am so very thrilled. Can you see my sarcasm dripping? Somewhat odd to be only 15 weeks and be leaking this clear fluid from my breasts. It's not a whole lot, though. Just a couple of drops here and there. I guess I'll get used to it.

2) Weird dreams!! I keep having this recurring dream that I go into labour in May and I'm all happy about it until the end of the dream when I realize that it's too soon and then the labour stops. Weird, eh? And two nights ago I dreamed I was talking to my cat and he told me all about the swimming pool he was building and the loan he was getting from the bank to build it! It's a two-story Fizz-sized (Fizzgig is my cat, Fizz for short) swimming pool. The building is two stories. Weird thing about that dream was I was partially awake while I was having it! I woke up and I was petting the cat. Then I guess I just kept sliding in and out of sleep cause I was still petting the cat the whole time. So strange.

Well, that's all folks! I'll ttyl.
