Hi everyone! We are expecting a winter storm here this afternoon so I am sitting here waiting for the snow to fall. It is very weird because Sunday was 70 degrees and then Monday the temperature plummeted and now we are expecting snow. I didn't expect to be having snow this winter here in Dallas.
We had a great weekend. We actually got some painting done and put up some new light fixtures in the hall and the dining room. Saturday night we went on a Christmas crawl in the neighborhood. It was fun, we started out at the first house at 7 p.m. and had a few drinks and munchies and then moved on to the next house and so on until about 12:30. It was a great way to meet the neighbors and they are a ton of fun -- we had a blast. Our next door neighbors were there with their 3-month-old baby, Collette -- what a sweetheart! She had a miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy before conceiving. We also met another neighbor who just had a baby boy. She conceived him with IVF after trying for over a year. He was born quite premature and is still in the hospital but he is doing well. We ended up swapping fertility stories and it was great except I was painfully aware that I was the only one without a happy ending yet!
I am expecting to hit peak fertility tomorrow or Thursday so I hope Christmas works its magic. It sure would make my Christmas wish come true!
Today is Michel's birthday and since we are expecting snow he told me this morning that he might be coming home early so I had a bit of a panic this morning. I rushed to the grocery store so I could bake a cake before he got home. Of course he isn't home yet and I probably didn't have to rush so much but such is life.
Talk to you next week!
