Heidi's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

July 3, 2001

I wanted to start by thanking everyone that posted their well wishes after my bird died. It seems so silly to be so heartbroken over a little bird but she was my little buddy and all the love I have in my heart to give a baby was channeled into that little bird. I was such a mess but I am very happy to report that I am much better now. We got a new baby bird because the house was just too quiet (she's on my shoulder now). Her name is Piper and I hope she is around for a long time. Not long after we got her she started to look sick - imagine my panic! We took her to the vet right away and I demanded that they keep testing until they found out what was wrong. Luckily it seems she had a minor infection of some kind and the antibiotics look like they are clearing it up.

We are on the 3rd month of Clomid. It's weird but the hot flashes came back this cycle with a vengance. I actually think that I have one more refill so it looks like we will have another month to try the Clomid. After that I think that we will be taking a break. It seems weird to say that since I was so gung-ho on finding an RE and looking into taking this journey to the next level. But I think we will just delay the start of any medical procedure by 6 months or so. In order to get my teacher's certification here I will have about a year of school to get done and I think that I can make the sacrifice to delay our TTC until next spring or summer in order for that to be done. I don't know if we will ever have children of our own so if I won't be staying home with kids then I will want to teach.

We finally got our visa! Ya-hoo so now I can actually go home for a visit. I guess I will take a long weekend sometime soon and go home and see my family. My family will probably come up for a visit at the end of the summer and before I start school - yikes, how funny is it to say that!

That's about all I have to report for now. Next time I hope I have a more exciting entry, take care everyone.

Heidi
