Heidi's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

May 2, 2001

Well I just finished my first Clomid cycle. I am hoping that it works some kind of magic on whatever isn't working right in my body. I did notice a lot of hot flashes while I was taking it, I hope it stops now that I am done with them. At first I thought it was cause I was spending too much time in the sun but I definitely was getting flushed very often. It wasn't so bad during the day but at night when I would try to get to sleep it was annoying. I would be all snuggled under the covers and then whew I would be boiling hot and throwing off all the covers and sweating and then in a few minutes I would be cold again! It gave me an interesting insight into the effects of menopause!

Not much else is happening with me. I am still trying to stick to my healthier diet and I think I am doing pretty well. I had fallen into a bad habit of eating fast food way too much. I haven't had fast food during the week for probably 2 months now. I am also trying to eat more veggies and less carbs. It is weird that before I started this I thought 'gee, it would be so great if I could loose 10 lbs' and now that I have I think that I still need to loose 10 more to look the way I want! I still feel like I look as big as I did when I was 10lbs heavier, why is that? It's not fair! Luckily and unluckily I tend to distribute my weight evenly which is fine cause at least it doesn't all settle in my ass but then again I can gain 10 lbs and not notice too big of a difference since it is all over. Then one day I jump on the scale and say ' how did that happen?' I started a great new aerobics class twice a week so I am hoping that will help me keep the lbs away. I am also happy that I am preparing my body to be healthy and strong for when I DO get pregnant. Which I hope is someday soon!

Gee, this is an exciting entry isn't it? I wish I had some exciting things to tell you but hopefully next week I can be a bit more interesting. Please post me any messages TTC related or not cause now that I am not teaching I get bored easily at home! I have been thinking about getting in to teach an adult ESL class over the summer but I have been hesitating because I am hoping to take some time to get home this summer and I think my mom and sister will be coming up for a visit. If we could get our new Visas soon then I would take a week and fly to London to visit my dad. He has been working there a lot for the last few months and my mom and sister were going to go over for a visit and I am dying to go along. Unfortunately, my dad's negotiations there will likely be finished by the time I get my Visa. Ggrr! I hate to miss out on such a great opportunity. We lived in England twice when I was a kid and I just loved it, it was such a fantastic experience.

For someone with nothing to say I sure can go on! Anyway, talk to y'all later.
