Well, I know that by the time everyone reads this entry, Thanksgiving
will
be so over, all of the dishes will be done, and we'll start trying to lose
the weight that all of the food that we stuffed into our mouths caused us to
gain...but I have to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. No matter what our
situations are, we have so much to be thankful for. To live in this
country, to be blessed with prosperity, to have food to eat and clothes to
wear, to have family near, to be warm. Sometimes even the simplest things
become the most important when we don't have them. So, anyway...I'm
thankful for everything that I've been blessed with, including all of
you!
So, on to the TTC front. I am in that wonderful waiting stage of my cycle. Yippee! As of today, I am 2 days past ovulation, and the baby making detail went well. I have never been so tired of sex in all of my life though! I think we had more sex last week than we did on our honeymoon! DH has been absolutely wonderful about the effort, even going so far as to wake me up in the mornings to take care of our "business" early so that we don't forget! So, even if we don't conceive this cycle, I have had the greatest time watching how enthusiastic DH is becoming about our quest for a baby.
I am kind of dreading the day that I reach 14 DPO. It is December 6, which is my 26th birthday. I don't want to find out bad news on my birthday. I definitely don't want to start bleeding on my birthday. Four days after my birthday (December 10), my brother and his wife are going to find out the sex of their baby, so if I get my period on the 6th, the 10th is going to be a huge downer for me. As much as I want to remain positive about this month, I feel like I need to prepare myself for the worst this month...that way I will be able to handle it a little bit better, and I will at least be able to go into Christmas with a good attitude.
On the temperature front, I am back to charting my temperatures, and things are looking good. I definitely had a temperature shift on Monday (confirming my belief that I ovulated on Sunday)...my temperature on Monday was 97.7, and Tuesday it was 98.0. If I can just get 13 or 14 more of these types of temps, I can be sure that I won't be disappointed for Christmas!
I hope everyone is doing well!
Take Care,
Julia
