Julia's Diary Entries

Whew! What a week. We've been working very hard at trying to find a house this week. Every single day at 2:00 p.m., Carl and I set out on the never-ending journey of finding something that meets our needs and is in our price range. This is the first time I've ever looked for a house, and I thought it was going to be so fun. Boy was I wrong! I set out searching for my "Dream House," not knowing that basically, you look for something that is "suitable" and hope that you don't find anything else wrong with it before you make an offer.

Still, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We found a house that we like, and it is BELOW our target price, so things are looking good. Earlier this week, I thought that we might have to rush the house shopping because AF was late making her appearance. But, we weren't lucky this month...my temperature dropped this morning, and I knew she would show up this afternoon. I'm not too upset about it, because DH and I aren't actively trying, but it was still nice to think that I could actually be pregnant. It certainly was nerve-wracking though. Next time, I'm not even going to THINK about it until I'm a week late. (Yeah, right....easier said than done).

Anyway, after thinking that we were definitely pregnant for a week, I think DH is really warming up to the idea. There is some possibility that we may move the date up and start TTC in September, which would mean that we would start trying during this cycle! We still haven't made a final decision, but I think I will wait to discuss it when I get closer to mid cycle and ovulation. We may have already made an offer on the house and gotten approved for our mortgage, and DH will be considerably less stressed, which I've found out is the BEST time to approach him about baby stuff.

Until next week!

Julia
