Here we are again!! Today is CD21 and according to Lifecycles, I am O'ing TODAY!! I have been using OPKs and got my first positive yesterday (Tuesday) so that sounds about right. Of course, the BDfest began on Monday as that was the first day I saw the line on the LH test a lot brighter than all other days, but I am pretty sure that Tuesday's test was the positive one. So, in a couple weeks I pray we find out that we are PG again!! I am so excited! I feel really POSITIVE about this cycle because we have hit the peak days to conceive. Cross EVERYTHING for us!
In other news, our other dog, Simba, left us on Saturday last week. I had to go to work that day so I wasn't here to see him leave, which was probably a good thing. We have heard from the woman one time as she called to ask us if we ever suspected that our dog has diabetes because he was drinking like a fish. We have never thought that about him but I am sure she will have it looked into and let us know. According to my friend who works with this person, the dogs are doing fine now and the dog who lived in the house first is making it known who is in charge. I am glad to hear that because I was worried that our dogs would just take over the place and cause the woman a little trouble. Apparently that is not the case. It is strange to only have one dog again after three years of having three dogs.
Buddy, the dog that stayed, is living large! He loves his new arrangements. He basically has the run of the house, sleeps in our bedroom and goes out with us almost everywhere. He hasn't been eating very well, though. I have been adding tuna to his food and he eats that but if it is just his dry food he won't eat it. I don't know if he is protesting the one last thing that reminds him of his playmates or if he is sad and just doesn't want to eat. I would think that if the latter were the case, then he wouldn't eat the tuna-spiked food either. So, I don't know. I will be talking with his vet on Thursday this week to see what she thinks. It was her idea to add the tuna so maybe she will have more insight for us. One great thing out of all of this, I don't have dog hair all over anymore!! That used to drive me nuts as DD loves to play in the kitchen where we had them cooped up and the hair was just unmanageable. Now it is practically nonexistent.
I have been working a lot again this week. I am not sure how much longer my work will allow extra hours for everyone to help get caught up but I don't care. I am loving it! It is hard to work from home with DD because she needs a lot of attention. BUT, it is great to see the paychecks after working extra hours. I normally work only 20 hours a week and lately I have been putting in 30+. So, if nothing else this will help us with Christmas money. I would like to see us pay off a couple bills too.
This weekend we are taking a bonzai trip to Durango to look at some manufactured homes. We are going to leave Friday after work and come home on Sunday morning. DD is staying with her aunt for the weekend, which will be nice for DH and me! We haven't gotten away very often without her and I am looking forward to it VERY, VERY, VERY MUCH! The last time we did anything without her was one night of camping in July 2000. Prior to that we had not done anything since she was born in June 1999. And once I get PG and have another baby, who knows when the next time we can do something like this will be!
My best friend will be joining us for the trip. When we were younger, she and I would take mini-road trips like this all the time. I miss those days, wouldn't give them up for anything, and I am glad to be where I am in my life, too. So, this will be a kind of reunion road trip if you will! I think we will have a lot of fun. DH's birthday is on Saturday, so we will be getting together with his brother and family to celebrate. We probably won't do anything big, just dinner and drinks at their house.
Well, I haven't been around much lately because I have
been working so much. I hope you are all doing well
and that many of you are graduating this month! I am
very hopeful that I will be right behind you this
month. Only a couple weeks and we should know. Here is
lots of PG dust to everyone who is desperately TTC!! (
I think that would be all of us!)
