Introduction
Well, we're back from vacation! It was a lot of fun. We stopped in
Cherokee, NC for a day and I won $66 at the casino! Would have been
great had Don not lost $80 ;). It was my fault, though, I kept coming
over to his table and jinxing him :). Then we visited some people we
knew from online and Don had lots of fun visiting one of his friends
in Virginia. Then we went to New York and saw Phantom of the Opera. I
LOVED that. It was incredible. Then down through Pittsburgh and to
home. We had rented a Mustang for the trip and that made it all the
better :). So we've just been relaxing.
I hope everyone had a happy holiday, whichever one you may celebrate. We stayed home and celebrated the solstice then hopped over to Atlanta for Christmas. My family just read my mind because while we were there I was going to ask my grandparents if I could borrow their oil lamps in case the power goes out on Y2K but I didn't have to! On the solstice I got a set of 3 oil candles from a friend and then on Xmas I got a full-sized oil lamp and a crystal hurricane lamp! I was very, very happy :). I also got a bunch of kitchen stuff and a new hard drive for my Mac laptop and Don got a drill (which I'll use more than he will). And we got a space heater. Good haul, eh? And I bought myself an IMac! Woohoo! FINALLY another Mac for me :). It should be arriving within an hour.
And I had my lap yesterday. They didn't find a thing! So now we don't know what's preventing me from getting pregnant. Back to square one I suppose. The lap didn't hurt so much this time but I think that's because they didn't find anything so they only made one incision and they weren't lasering in there. And I'm pretty well drugged. The only thing that's really bothering me is the shoulder pain. I think that's caused by the gas they use to inflate you. If I lay in the wrong position my shoulder REALLY hurts. Other than that I'm fine. I was up and about and even drove myself to the video store last night. I'll talk to the doctor again in a couple of weeks and we'll see where to go from here.
Again, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and I hope everyone has an event-free Y2K! No drinking and driving and all that. :)
Sincerely, the completely drugged,
-Jess
