Jessica's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

November 3, 1999

I met my new doctor yesterday. I didn't like him too much at first because he seemed stand-offish. Don thought so too, but after a while he warmed up and we decided he's going to get my records from my old doctor and do a progesterone test this month with no meds at all and when I go back next month we'll talk about moving on from Clomid. I don't think he thinks that's a good idea but that's probably because it's so much more involved to use injectables. DH and I really want to try it, though. The doctor also said that the endometriosis may be causing some of the problems. I'm sure it is, but I'm not so sure what we can do about it. I really don't want to take Lupron for 6 months and be moody and have hot flashes. That's why I don't want Clomid anymore! But I don't think this doctor is too hot about doing another surgery. All I really want is a sweet little baby to hold in my arms. We'll see what he says on the 22nd. But if all he wants to do it put me on more Clomid then I'm finding someone else. I'm sick of Clomid. Guess I should try to trust the doctor a bit more, though, huh? I have a bit of a problem with trusting doctors :).

If this doesn't work out, though, I guess we'll go to the RE up in Birmingham. It's a bit of a drive but it's worth it if we can get somewhere. Who knows, maybe I'll ovulate on my own this month and have a Thanksgiving surprise! :) We can only hope. :):)

I've been fighting off a bit of depression lately but I think that's because it almost refuses to get and stay cold here! I think it should be cold in October and the weather doesn't agree with me! It's finally gotten cold again today, so hopefully it'll stay that way. It'll cheer me up to have my little nose turn pink from the cold :). Don's happy, I'm happy, the cat is.. well, the cat is the cat. 'nuff said. :) I guess I'm outa here for this week. See ya later.
