Introduction
Merry Christmas to you all!!! I am very curious about each and everyone's Christmas adventure. The only reason I am here on Christmas night is this is a large attempt to wind down. My mom was here for a couple of days and brought my 5-year-old cousin whom I adore so much with her. We had the best time. My mom lives about four hours away and I see her every couple of months but it was really special to have her here for Christmas. We went shopping on Friday night and again on Saturday morning. We cooked our Christmas dinner Saturday afternoon and ate like there was no tomorrow. It kind of made it seem like Saturday was Christmas instead of today but the good side of that was, we have been eating on that food for two days now, just like it was Christmas every day. They left about lunchtime on Christmas Eve -- she had brought her boyfriend with her and of course he wanted to go back and be with his family as well as the little one had to be home for Santa to come last night.
Rodman and I saved our gift exchange for this morning but we had quite a little gift-opening ceremony on Saturday night with the little one. Of course, we all bought for her and then she helped open everyone else's gifts too. I must say, the older I get, the more exciting Christmas gets. I am sure as a youngster I was very easily excited over the holidays but for some reason for several years, it was more of a dilemma to be dealt with than an exciting time of the year. Hopefully, we can add to our family in the next year and start a whole new idea of just how exciting this time of year can be.
As for TTC, officially we are in the 2WW but mostly just waiting on insurance to kick in again, for DH to get a SA and then hopefully with any luck, move back to IUIs and be successful this time. If I am correct, I will get AF one day this week and then that will be one more cycle down the drain. If no AF, then guess what!!!!!! That would mean the greatest Christmas (or New Year) present in the world.
I am going to get off to bed tonight. DH and I both have to work the rest of the week. We have already made specific plans next weekend to clean our new little house. We are going to put away the Christmas decorations and get back to the spic and span clean of our house. Amazing how lovely the decorations are at first, and then they seem to become clutter just as soon as the last gift is opened!! Oh well, that will be how we bring in the New Year. No big parties here or anything, just being with one another and holding down the home!!!
Merry Christmas, happy new year and God bless each and everyone here!! Thanks for letting me share with you. Keep your head and hips up!!!
Love,
Jerri Ann
