Jerri's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

August 28, 2001

My entries are slowing somewhat. There are several reasons for that but none quite as important as the fact that I am not “really” TTC. This is my first cycle back on BCP and I went ahead and took them the conventional way so that I could make sure that I didn’t get PG on this first pack. Now, I will return to them on a continuous basis to fight endometriosis. While I am taking these like I am, I am going to ask my general practitioner for a medicine to help with my super high cholesterol. Over the years it has ranged from 280 to 330 so I know that is way too high for anyone, never mind someone my age. One doctor suggested Lipitor once but didn’t want me to take it while TTC so I didn’t use it. Since, I obviously am not TTC, I am going to make some efforts to clear up the cholesterol as well as lose some weight, which in turn should help the cholesterol too. I have made an appointment to see my “not-so-new” doctor here in Birmingham to get the ball rolling on these kinds of things. This doc is one I saw for about 8 years before I moved to Atlanta. And, of course, losing weight is should enhance the TTC efforts when the time comes. As for losing weight, well, looks like I may be moving to Florida with my new Love in late November or early December. WHAT? I can see everyone’s mind flowing with lots of questions but……..that’s exactly what “WE” are planning right now. His job will move in then to another job site and of course, I never miss an opportunity to change jobs. For those of you who know me at all, this job that I have now is job number 26 for me over the course of age 18 to 32. So, can’t pass up such an adventure, now can I? LOL Actually, they may have a place for me in his company or the parent company which would be great. Either way, the plans now are to buy a travel trailer. WHAT? You got it. The superintendents, foramens and some of the other workers that travel a lot, own travel homes and they all live close by in a campground. So, Wayne is looking to buy one for us and we will set out on our adventure. So, I said all that to say that, if I am going to live in Florida, on a campground, on the water, I MUST LOSE WEIGHT! Of course it will be wintertime when we get there so that gives me till next summer to be real good and buff! Wayne’s plans include a boat or sea do by next summer. As you can see our little minds have been going wild. We are now residing in the same home and life couldn’t be rosier. So, the big question I guess is, if this man is so wonderful, and he has been so far, what does he ever do wrong? Well, I happen to be a neat freak. I organize everything I get my hands on or even just near, and he happens to be a slob! So, I organize his underwear drawer and he wears them and leaves them on the floor, wherever he decides to quit wearing them. That is the only fault I have been able to find thus far. We spend Sunday with my mom and little cousin. When we carried Morgan home on Sunday evening, he asked her mom if she could come to our place and stay on Labor Day weekend. So, we pick her up on Friday night and I guess we will take her home on Monday. Wow! He loves kids, a man after my own heart! He already has my heart; things just keep getting better everyday. He bought water guns that we played with on Sunday afternoon but on the way home, he had to stop and buy a bigger one for himself for the upcoming weekend. Then, of course, he found some computer software that he thought she needed. I couldn’t help telling him what a good daddy he would be some day. And, we have discussed just how soon that might be. Hopefully, in 6 months or less we can get busy working on that. He knows I want children and don’t want to wait too terribly long to get busy. He should be up for advancement in his company within a year. That would be working in the home office and we could settle down and make a home there. So, the way I look at it, if we start TTC and get pg, we have that length of time plus 5 years to get settle before a child would need to a year-round home so that he/she could go to school. He thinks adopting would be a better option. UH? That is what I said, uh? But, he said he wants a girl and would like to just adopt a girl that has made it out of her terrible two’s. He likes to play and have fun and I think a child experiencing the terrible two’s would terrify him! Either way, at least I know that adoption is an option with him. But, that made me curious about “him”. So, I asked the ultimate question, “Can you father a child?” He said he did once but it resulted in a “loss”. So, he, like all men, figure he is as very fertile. Hehehe, we will see about that one!

Ok, I have rattled on long enough. Talk to me on my board, thanks for listening and I’ll do an entry before long, just not as often as I do when I was TTC actively. But, I do think that a diary of TTC that begins from here and goes forward will be even cooler to read 50 years from now!

Thanks again for being my buds!
