Even though my surgery is over, I am still needing extra rest to get through each day. I had to take a day off work this week because I was just so exhausted. Fortunately, that was the day of my post-operative visit. Before I get into that I must tell you what a sweetheart DH has been since I had my surgery. He has done so much around here. He has cooked and washed dishes when he sensed that I just couldn't do it. He is a true believer in work, work and work some more so I was a little worried that he might not understand, but he has, just like the dream I knew I married.

Now, TTC!!
I had my post-operative visit on Thursday to get my plan of attack, and this is it: Today, I got AF - first time I think I have ever been glad to see her. On CD3 I am starting 50 mg of Clomid (I O'd on 25 mg in February and March). That will take me through CD7. Then, according to the doctor, I am going to start an OPK on CD11. As soon as I get a positive reading on OPK, I will make an appointment to have an IUI the next day. My OB/GYN is doing the IUI so as I understand it, things are done a little differently. I will take DH's specimen to the lab to have it spun down and then take it with me to my doctor for the IUI. If things happen similarly to the way they did when I took the Clomid before, I should O around CD18 or so. That would be around Aug. 2.

My doctor did say that if I O'd on a Saturday then I could still have the procedure done but if I O on Sunday then I would have to wait until the next month unless I am lucky enough to get PG on my own. She thinks with DH's low sperm count and low motility that getting PG without some assistance could be impossible.

So, that is our plan. The doctor said she would give me three chances of Clomid and IUI before referring me to a RE. Pray for us and keep watching so I can let you know how it is going.

Thanks for letting me share my story.
