Jerri's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

May 9, 2000

I haven’t the slightest idea what cycle day I am right now. My cycles tend to be very short, sometimes as short as 22 days, but this month, I had some spotting starting about day 21 and it was on again, off again until about day 26 and then AF came, but in a really light fashion. That is very abnormal for me.

As I have aged, AF has shortened in length but the flow is generally very heavy. And that, as well, was on again, off again for several days. Therefore, at this point, I am really uncertain what cycle day to consider myself. But just for the sake of being normal and actually having a real cycle, I am going to pretend that I am on CD#7. That is about as close as I can come to a good estimate.

My cycles are short and I don't ovulate without the help of Clomid. And, since I was scheduled to have a laparoscopy for endometriosis this Thursday, I did not plan to use Clomid this month. But, with my new job, new insurance and the stresses that come with each, I have postponed my surgery again. My new insurance goes into effect on June 1, so I hope to have this surgery in early July, and then the real TTC can start.

The doctors feel that I will increase my chance of conceiving by 50 percent with this surgery, even if my DH doesn’t have a good count. He is going to go to the doctor as well in the middle of June to try to see if there is indeed a male factor. My doctor thinks that possibly there was a mix-up with his original SA and that he is good to go. If he is OK, then this surgery should answer a lot of our prayers.

If there is anyone who would like to give me some advice, whew, I am always open to advice. Thanks for letting me share.
