Lea's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
March 30, 1999
Just to let everyone know, I actually wanted to start writing a
preconception diary but I am a little late! I'll fill you in. AF was due to
appear around the 20th of March but I have a long cycle normally so I really
didn't think it was possible so soon. On the 27th I still had no sight and
also my boobs were really tender so i was really begging to think that it
could be true. I was scared to take a HPT
because I sort of didn't want to see the results. Hard to explain -- I
didn't want to get my hopes up to high as I didn't expect it to be positive
but then I really really wanted it to be +. Well DH told me to "just do
it!" so I took a deep breath and........well ++++!! I kept looking at that
stick all night with a big smile on my face and DH didn't really say much.
I made a doctor's appointment for the next day after work and DH came along.
The doctor says I'm about six weeks, due
22nd December. This is when reality sunk in. We are having a BABY!!!!!!!!
Last night we drove to my Mum's house which is about 45 minutes drive to suprise her with the news. We went in and I showed her the + HPT and she says, "What is it?" I told her that she was going to be a grandmummy and explained that it was a HPT and needless to say she was excited. We haven't told DH family yet or my Dad (parents are divorced).
I have an appointment with the OB/GYN on monday 3rd to find out more. So for now, best of luck to all.
Lea
