TTC#1, C#7, +HPT

Yes, a +HPT. I AM PREGNANT! Wow. I am as surprised as anyone.

DH and I had a good trip to Florida. He didn’t win the golf tournament, but we got to do all the theme parks and Disney World things while we were there, so that was great. Having been a Mickey Mouse fan since I was a kid, I loved it. It’s the Happiest Place on Earth after all. I’m certainly not used to that humidity they have back there. I am glad to be back in my own kind of heat here in Arizona.

I didn’t temp at all while I was Florida, although I intended to. I didn’t get up at 5:30 a.m. like I do at home, so I got lazy and attributed it to the temps probably not being accurate anyway. AF should have started on Sunday. Monday was our traveling day so when I got home I went to the store and bought some tampons and some HPTs. I figured I would need one or the other. The cashier probably thought I was crazy. Anyway, I took the HPT, which showed a very faint positive, so I wasn’t too sure about that. I thought maybe I was seeing a line there that really wasn’t there or just wishful thinking.

Tuesday morning when I took my temperature, it was off the chart! The highest reading I have ever had. My heart leaped, because it was then that I knew I probably really was PG. Another HPT also showed a faint positive. Today I took my temp and it was as high as it was the day before and the HPT definitely is positive. I don’t know what other signs I am looking for. I guess it’s just that everything else seems the same? I feel the same, I don’t feel like I’m PG. I have no symptoms. I guess I always thought you would just know you were pregnant and immediately feel different, but that’s not the case. At least with me. At least not yet.

DH & I are so excited. But I don’t want to tell anyone just yet. It’s going to be very hard to keep it in. I think it’s best if we wait a while to let it all sink in and start making some plans. I’m so happy we have the new house and can have a baby’s room now. DH has had a permanent smile on his face for the last two days, which just makes me laugh every time I look at him. It’s very sweet. This will be the first grandchild for his parents, it will be so fun telling them.

Congratulations to all the other ++HPT out there, especially Janet who conceived on her trip to Paris. That is just wonderful. And I’m sending out a big wave of ****baby dust to everyone else this month TTC.
