Jenny W's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

March 6, 2001

9 weeks, 2 days

Not a whole lot new here, so I'll keep this short.

I thought I was feeling better in my last entry, but I wrote too soon. The all-day m/s is still around and I spend most of my time just trying to deal with it. I bought sea-sickness wrist bands, which seem to help sometimes. I look like Wonder Woman- I can fend off bullets with my bullet-proof wrist bands. They are pretty ugly. I was thinking that I could jazz them up a bit with glitter and rhinestones, but for now I guess I'll just stick to long sleeves. I keep telling myself that it will only be a few more weeks of this, oh I hope, I hope! It gets hard, day after day, getting out of bed in the morning and feeling sick.

I bought a book (actually, I bought it last fall when I was pg then), it describes your pregnancy on a week by week basis. This week, my baby is about 1 1/2-inches long and has fingers and toes. This is just amazing to me. It's hard to not look ahead in the book and see what's coming up. I'm trying to show some self-restraint and stick to the week I'm on. It's more fun that way, if I can do it.

I bought my first piece of maternity clothing! OMG, this was scary. I had seen a lightweight cardigan at the store a few weeks ago I thought was cute. When I saw it again over the weekend, it was on sale. I tried it on, and there were only 2 'smalls' left, so I thought if I really wanted it, I better just buy it. It was such a strange feeling! For a small, it is still so big. I can't imagine my belly will ever fill it out, but I suppose come summer it will. For now, I put it in the far back of my closet. I think my days of tucking in shirts are over. I'm not showing, it's much too early for that, but my lower belly is getting bigger and it just doesn't look so good with tucked in shirts anymore. My pants are still fitting, although some are getting to be on the tight side. I went out and bought a few shirts that don't have to be tucked in so that I can get away with those for awhile before moving on to maternity clothes. I was happy to see that there are a lot of really cute maternity things out there. You can be pregnant and still be in fashion!

I haven't received notification of moving to the PG diaries yet, but I assume it will be soon. I know there are a few of us ready to move over and just waiting for the word.

Best of luck to everyone in the 2WW period. Baby dust to everyone this week~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
