Hi girls!
Well, I am surviving the 2WW! Of course, I am going
out of my head overanalyzing every little thing I
feel, wondering if I'm pregnant! How people go through
this month after month, I cannot imagine. It's
exciting on the one hand, but nerve-racking on the
other!
I have been feeling "funny" for the last few days, today especially. I've just been feeling a little nauseated in general, not really the flu type, but just a strange nausea that comes in waves every once in a while, but always during my first couple hours of teaching. It started on Tuesday, I think. It's been no big deal, and I've noticed it but haven't wanted to think that it could be PG related. Today, however, has been the weirdest of all. I was in church this morning and actually had to leave because I had the dry heaves. I came home and felt nauseated for the next few hours. This was combined with a killer headache, which may have been the reason I was nauseated. Part of me so badly wants to think this is a good sign, especially since the nausea was worse today than other days, but the other part of me knows I'll just be bummed if I get my hopes up for nothing. Besides, from what I've heard morning sickness does not usually start so soon. I'm only 8 DPO, so taking a HPT right now would just be pointless. I guess I will have to wait and see. My breasts are a little more tender than usual, but that is pretty normal for pre-AF time. My temps are still higher. They have risen slowly this month, as opposed to last month where they kind of shot up and stayed there. I also had a dip at about 3DPO, which, after getting advice from my board and looking back in TCOYF, I realized it was probably an estrogen surge. Anyway, I will have to wait it out until Saturday and see then.
This week is going to be busy, so I am hoping for it to fly by. I am in grad. school right now working towards my masters degree in special education. The class I am currently taking is on assessment, so I've had to practice assessment tests on children. I finished my first one this weekend and have to write up the report by Wednesday night (fun fun). I love being in school, but I definitely took for granted the days when school was my only responsibility! I am also hosting a scrapbooking party Tuesday night, which I am really looking forward to. I am not a really creative person, but scrapbooking is one thing I actually feel I can do pretty well! I wish I kept up with it more, it's just so time-consuming. I need to make it a priority, though, to spend more time on my hobbies instead of obsessing about how many other things I need to do. DH is constantly reminding me of this.
This Saturday is the annual holiday shopping day with my MIL and DH's family. Chris's aunt lives in the Upper Peninsula, and there aren't many big malls/stores around her. So, she comes down for the weekend every year to meet up with her sister (my MIL), SIL and nieces (that's where I come in) for a huge shopping extravaganza! It's a pretty fun time. This year there will be about eight of us, plus two little girls -- the biggest group yet! We meet about two hours north of where I live, stay in a hotel, and literally shop until we drop. My MIL and aunt have even been known to close down the mall and then head for Meijers (a 24-hour everything sort of store) at 11 p.m.! They crack me up. It's always a fun time, and I'm looking forward to it. Hearing from friends about how in-law relationships can sometimes be, I feel very fortunate that DH's family has welcomed me in and that we all get along so well.
That's about all from here. Congrats to the new PGs out there. Seems like every week there's someone new to congratulate. Here's to keeping that trend going until we all get our wishes granted!
Have a great week!
Laura
