Hi All,
As you can see, AF showed. I have to say that her stay was short and not too bad, so it took a bit of the sting out. I'm getting ready to tackle my next (and hopefully LAST) round of Clomid. I feel like the Lama/emporer in "The Emporer's New Groove" when they are about to go over the waterfall and he says, "Bring it on!" :) I am challenging my lazy reproductive system and I plan on winning!
I took DH's "boys" in for the 3-month SA retest. I hope that things are looking better, and I hope our urologist doesn't leave us waiting too long for the results. I would also REALLY love for yesterday to have been my last time driving across town with a speciman jar tucked in my bra! :) I had my usual thoughts of really not wanting to get pulled over or in an accident and have to explain why there was a cup of semen in my braw, but this time I also ran into construction. Then I parked at the opposite end from the lab and had to high-tail it throgh the halls. Of course, I'm sure that good me looks. I always wonder if people know what I have and why I'm rushing...! Luckily we all made it on time and the lab tech even commented on how nice and warm the jar still was - thank you very much (ha ha)!
I was in a bit of a funk for a few days - I blame it on the hormones! Of course I was disappointed when AF showed, but I *thought* I was okay with it. That is, until Sunday when I completely lost it at church. I'm sure people were wondering what the heck was wrong with me! That's just really not like me. I'm getting back under control, but it was a rough couple of days, and I do not like the feeling of not being in control over my emotions (that's the control freak in my coming out).
Of course, it didn't help that my sis and BIL go to our church and the news is out now, so all morning I heard, "So, you're going to be an auntie again?" This was not a bad question, but it was almost always follwed by, "When is it going to be you guys?" Or, my favorite, one person thought I was the one pregnant and congratulated ME! ARGH!
Oh, and I found out that another coworker of mine is pregnant. That's two teachers in my building having babies next year. They say that things happen in threes, so I figure my turn has GOT to be next! This woman and her husband had been trying for a while. Her cycles were really messed up, much more than mine, even, and she got pg on her fifth round of Clomid. That gives me some hope.
Things are getting pretty busy. We have Vacation Bible School coming up next week, then we are going up to Mackinac Island (a beautiful, albeit "touristy" island in the upper penninsula) with friends, and the week we get back I start school. UGH! This cycle should fly right by, with how busy things are!
Well, that's all from here. I am going to space out my entries a bit more, since there seems to be nothing of noteworthiness going on for the first couple weeks of a cycle, anyway, and because things are getting busier. I will be on the boards expecting to see lots of positive news around here, though!
Take care,
Laura
