Hi Girls!
Well, AF did show up, and what an appearance she has made so far! I have to say that I had the WORST cramps of my entire life today - and I've got a history of bad ones! I've never had contractions, but that's what these felt like. My entire uterus, ovaries, and stomach tightened into one huge knot over and over for an hour. Besides that, I also had the pleasure of dizziness, cold sweats, and throwing up. Woo-hoo! It would be nice if they gave epidurals for cramps (ha ha)! I'm sure labor is MUCH more intense, but this was the worst pain of any kind that I have EVER felt. It's amazing how Clomid can affect you. The first month, I mainly had s/e while actually taking the pills, but nothing afterwards. This month, however, my main side effects were the extreme PMS moodiness and these awful cramps. I finally called my dr. and she prescribed Vioxx. I'll tell you what, I am LOVING that drug! I had taken two 800 mg. Ibuprofen in the morning and was still in pain for a good 2 hours (milder, but still bad), and then I took Vioxx tonight when the cramps returned and they were gone w/in 15 minutes! So, I am feeling much better and plan to keep on top of this now so those cramps can't return! AF coming is one thing, but she is NOT alowwed to bring those hellions with her again! :)
Thanks for all who posted the positive messages on my TTM board. I have to say that my weekend ended on a much better note. Not only did my UTI clear up, but DH put together my new yard swing and I sat out and read all afternoon Sunday - how fun! I also finally finished painting our bedroom and started priming the future nursery (truly the most hideously painted room in our house), so I am feeling really good about that. Nothing like a sense of accomplishment to bring you out of a funk!
Another accomplishment I am working towards is my weight loss. I had lost 20 lbs. last year and managed to gain 15 lbs back! And do you know when the weight gain started? When we started TTC - go figure. So, instead of the Freshman 15, I've gained the TTC 15. So far so good this week, I'm hoping for a loss when I go to Weight Watchers on Saturday. I'm already planning what I will eat at the 4th of July family BBQ, and will be bringing my Veggie Burger along. If I'm not pg, I may as well work towards my weight goal. Losing slowly should not mess up our TTC plans.
That's about it from me. I hope everyone has a wonderful, fun, relaxing holiday! I also wanted to say that I will really miss having Dani and Nino around, and I'd like to wish them the best of luck!
Take care,
Laura
