C#4, CD#34, O?
Hello Again,
I hope everyone is having a good start to their week. I am actually home today. I have been constantly tired, no matter how much I sleep, for the last three weeks. At first I thought it was just stress, but I'm not really stressed right now and I'm still tired. I slept 10 hours last night and I'm still tired. I've even been adding protein to my diet and exercising more, and I'm STILL tired! For someone who is usually very energetic, this is getting annoying. I am going to try and see my doctor today or sometime this week. At the very least, he can give me ideas as to what vitamins, foods could help my energy level. My mother has hypothyroidism, and I know that it is a genetic predisposition, so I'd like to get a blood test to see if that's what's going on. Also, hypothyroidism can affect TTC, so I figure it's worth checking into.
And on the subject of TTC - keep in mind that I have been successful so far at having my new positive, hassle-free attitude - I'm getting a little frustrated! In my last entry, I thought that I had O'd. However, it was a fluke, my temps. went up and came back down. My chart looks like a yo-yo. But, that's not what is frustrating me; I got over that and continued to wait. My frustration is due to two main issues: 1.) Yesterday was CD33, the day I usually O, and I had no temp. rise today. Did I even O? 2.) On Saturday (the day before supposed O) I began to develop a yeast infection - ICKY! Very hard to get in the mood when you are itchy and have pretty much no CM. Up until then, I'd had pretty good CM from taking the Flax Oil with EPO, but of course when it came time for business, nothing. We used real egg whites - always an experience. My guess is also that a yeast infection does not make a good environment for implantation. I'm eating lots of yogurt, though, and hoping for the best. It may not even be an issue if I haven't O'd, so we'll see.
Although I am frustrated, it is not to the point where I feel like I'm overwhelmed. I have, however, decided to call my Gyn. if I'm not pregnant this month. She told me to come in again in April, after 6 cycles. Well, I've been charting for 6 mos. now, and have had such long cycles that it would be mid-May by the time I've finished 6 cycles. So, I am going to show her my charts and pursue getting some non-invasive testing out of the way to find out if I have hormone inbalances, etc. I'd love it, however, if I got pg this month and didn't have to make that appointment!
Other than that, not much is going on here. I rejoined Weight Watchers last Thursday, so I'm hoping to see some weight loss. I had been trying to do it on my own, but I really do so much better when I attend the meetings. I feel much more motivated. I hope to lose about 10-15 pounds. We'll see how far I get before we conceive. Either way, the change in eating habits that Weight Watchers incorporates will surely help me to eat well while I'm pregnant.
Good luck to all of my fellow TTC'ers out there. Thank you to those who have been reminding us all that there IS life outside of TTC. That's one of my personal goals for this week. I hope we can all take some time to remember that and enjoy our spouses and families. It WILL happen for us all, sooner or later, in one form or another. Time can only go by faster if we try to relax and enjoy the scenery along the way.
Take Care,
Laura
