Hello Ladies,
First off, I want to thank our webmaster (webmistress, actually) for setting up our new diary system. It is so cool to see up-to-date info. on the entries! For example, I was very excited to read and see that Megan announcing a +HPT just today! Congrats, Megan! You see, we would have all been waiting a week or checking boards like crazy, and now we can see all the exciting news right up there as it happens. Ah, the wonders of modern technology. :)

I hope everyone is having a good week. Things are going well here. I have been very stressed lately at work, particularly with a student issue that pretty much took the wind out of me emotionally for over a week. Honestly, I don't even know what to say about it except that it's the only time I've dealt with this in four years as a teacher. Things are finally settling down now, and I'm feeling much better. I've also been getting to bed by 10:00 every night, and it's helped me tremendously. Isn't it amazing how much proper sleep (or lack thereof) affects our lives?

As for TTC, look out for some rambling (I'm giving you fair warning)! I'll just start by saying that I am frustrated to no end with using opk sticks! This month, I have been taking (in addition to my prenatal and B6) Dong Quai and Evening Primrose Oil. The Dong Quai is supposed to level out hormones, so I've been thinking that I might O earlier than my usual day 33. So, on Friday (cd17) I tested and my two lines were really close in color, indicating that perhaps I was a day or two away from an LH surge. On Saturday I tested at the same time and the lines were nowhere near the same color. Thinking this was weird, I just figured I'd forget it. I didn't do another test until yesterday morning (cd21) and this time the test line was darker than the reference line, indicating that I'd already O'd. Looking at my temps, they had dipped on cd20 and risen on cd21, so I thought that I might have O'd on Monday. Well, today my temps dropped again, below coverline, and my opk test showed a very light test line again. So, I don't think that I have O'd yet. Has anyone else had these problems with opk's? I am so annoyed with it that I'm just going to go by my temperatures this month, because I am not getting any straight answers from the opk's! However, in my quest to be relaxed, I am done trying to figure out whether or not I have O'd yet. We'll just continue to BD every other day and see what happens.

Hmmm...I think I've written more than enough for this week! Again, congrats to all of our new pgs! You know, it seems to go in cycles (no pun intended). There are a bunch of new pregnancies announced, and then we go for a whhile without a lot of big news, then things pick up again. Keep the good news comin', girls!

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, productive week!

Take Care,
Laura
