Laura K's Diary Entries

C#4, CD#6

Hey everyone!
Well, I have moved on to another cycle. Surprisingly, I was not too upset that it didn't work this month. So far, so good in terms of me keeping my "less stress" resolution! I was quite surprised at AF's timing, however. In my last entry, I was 7 DPO (I'd miscalculated and thought it was 8) and mentioned that I was cramping. This never happens more than 1-2 days prior to AF, so I thought it was odd. On Wednesday morning, I woke up to a temperature drop, which was also odd, and then started spotting. At first I thought maybe, just maybe, it could be something like implantation dipping and spotting. As the day wore on, however, it became obvious that AF had arrived.

So, my LP was only seven days long last cycle -- yikes! This is the shortest it has ever been. My luteal phases were 12 and 10 days long, respectively, in my first two cycles. I was not very vigilant about taking the B6 last month, but I didn't take it at all my first month and my LP was OK. Apparently when I wished for shorter cycles, I should have been more specific that I still needed a long enough luteal phase (LOL)! At any rate, we'll see what happens this month with me being more careful about taking vitamins. I figured out that I should O in the beginning of February. Wouldn't it be fun to give my DH a +HPT as a Valentine's gift?

There isn't too much going on around here besides the fact that we are trying to get back into the swing of being at school again. I also have a grad. class that starts this Saturday. I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I don't have to go on a weeknight, but then I miss my only day to sleep in! I was registered for another class, but decided to drop it. It conflicted with some things I have going on, and frankly the mere thought of two classes was making me feel frenzied. I figured that there was no reason to be that busy. I'll have a class in the spring, two nights a week, so this term will be a nice break from weeknight classes.

We also have enrolled Ocho in puppy classes one night a week, and I'm looking forward to that. I've never had a dog before, so I don't know much about training them. You should see us on walks. I'm either dragging her along because she wants to stop and sniff, or she's trying to drag me along as she speeds down the street. It makes things interesting, especially in the snow and ice. I might as well strap on some skates or hook her up to a sled! It's great exercise, though, and I do love to get out.

Well, that's about all for this week. Sorry there's nothing too exciting, girls! Congrats to the new PGs out there, and good luck to all of my fellow TTC'ers!

Take care,
Laura
