Erin's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
January 12, 2000
Well a lot has happened in the past month or so since my last update. I'll just start from the beginning and make my way to the present day.My last entry left me on the day I first started taking 50mg of Clomid. I was taking my temps and the 50mg didn't get me to ovulate that cycle. I was a little disappointed but I guess it's better than having ovulated and finding out that we didn't succeed in getting pregnant. So I made another appointment with my GYN on January 6th. AF hadn't arrived by then, she was scheduled to arrive on Monday the 3rd so she sent me for more blood tests to see about my hormone levels. She gave me some progesterone pills to take in case AF hadn't arrived by the following Monday. I started spotting on Saturday the 8th and AF arrived on Monday. I just filled my prescription for 100mg of Clomid for cycle days 3 through 7, which means I start them today. I'm really hoping that 100mg gets me to ovulate, but I've heard stories of women having to take sometimes up to 250mg.
I'm trying to focus on other things now so I don't let the whole "TTC" take over my life. I really don't want to get obsessed about it. If Jason gets paid before CD12 I think I may pick up a couple ovulation prediction kits. I've never used one before so it should be interesting.
I can't believe that my friend Teresa only has 2 months to go before she gives birth. It really seems like yesterday she called me on the phone to tell me that she was pregnant.
Christmas was very enjoyable as usual. We went to Jason's family get-together on the 24th. He has quite a large family. His mother is one of six. His family now has 18 members, and he has another little female cousin on the way. Hopefully by next Christmas we'll be able to make that number one more. :) Someone joked about having to rent a hall next year as it's getting pretty difficult to fit us all into one house. My family celebrated on the 25th, so we went over to my mom's place in the early afternoon. We had a good time as we normally do when we get together.
The weather here has been really crazy lately. We had like 4 days of fog one week. Most of the time fog ends up burning off around 10:00 a.m., but this time it stayed all day and all night, for 4 days straight. The last couple of days the weather hasn't been able to make up it's mind. It goes from raining to snowing to hailing quite a few times each day. Yesterday it hailed so hard for like an hour straight that we ended up having about 4 inches on the ground. It was so neat looking, kind of like laundry detergent everywhere!
I hope this entry greets you all in good health and happiness.
