Jennifer's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

December 12, 2003

Things are pretty quiet in TTCland. My sonohysterogram had to be postponed until next week (stupid HCG level was 36 on Monday and it needs to be 0). I went in for repeat b/w this morning and I'm hoping it's finally negative so I can move on!

The good news is is that my thyroid levels are normal for the second time in a row. I'm not getting cocky about it though--don't want to bring on any bad karma. ;)

I'm leaning toward doing EFT (hopefully in January) and then doing IVF #3 (so long as it's possible given the results of the tests). I might also push to have a lap/hysteroscopy done. We'll have to see how Dr. Hottie reacts to that plan.

In the past, I've always raced toward IF treatments, but now I feel like we need to slow done and reassess everything. Something is clearly wrong that the treatments aren't correcting--after 1.5 years of this crap it shouldn't come as a huge surprise. My sister has offered to be our surrogate should the need arise. I'm not sure I would take her up on this very generous (and unexpected offer). She doesn't have kids (nor does she plan to) and she's very body-conscious. I would feel awful knowing what a PG does to your body and then having her "wreck" hers for me. I guess my guilt complex is pretty strong. Of course should we need to cross that bridge I might be less worried about her firm abs. ;)

Anyway, I hope all is well with everyone else. I'm taking each day as it comes and doing the best I can.

Jen
