Jennifer's Diary Entries

Hi!

This will be brief (I promise!).

This morning I decided to take my basal body temp. It was 97.2. I was seriously like WTF? I am on double progesterone so you'd think my temp would be higher than a damn Easy Bake Oven. ;)

Anyway, I went in for my blood work and I've felt awful all day (well for days really). My cramps were so bad at one point that I wanted to down an entire bottle of Tylenol (I didn't even take one, though--I guess I do have some will power). The RE's office said they'd only call if there was an issue, but well that's not good enough for me. So I called them.

My estrogen level is 1368! The nurse said it might be high because sometimes the follicles fill with fluid post-ER and that can make you really uncomfortable (you think?!?). And the good news? My progesterone level is 93! Holy crap. She said it doesn't get much better than that! She also said the worse I feel the better they think my odds are. Heck if that's the case I'll feel even worse than I have been. ;)

Then my sister called me. She's 35 and does not want kids. EVER. She has crazy cycles too (she came off BCP in February, but I'm not sure why since she does NOT want to get PG). Her issue is that she only gets AF once every 4 months or so (as opposed to her little sister who bleeds all the time). Her GYN sent her for blood work (including thyroid levels--hypothyroidism can be genetic and my mom and I both have it...) and he's doing an HSG next week. How weird is that? I have no idea why he wants that test run, but it will be nice for her to be in my shoes for a day. hahahaha I'm such an evil little sister! Anyway, she said she spent most of the appointment telling the GYN what a freak her sister is. Ahhh, I'm famous!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Jen
