Hi, everyone!

Sorry for the delay in posting this update--they knocked me out for the procedure (I figured it would be like IVF #1 where I was just a bit groggy, but it totally wasn't) and when I got home I fell ASLEEP for a few more hours! I'm still a little fuzzy-brained so if something doesn't make sense, you'll know why! The ER went well and I looked smashing in my OR gear (not!). The anesthesiologist was a nice guy and even though he said I have small veins he got my IV in on the first try (still hurt a bit though). Dr. Hottie was there in all his glory and was very pleased with how I did. And I even saw my real RE on the way out (this is the second time I've seen him since joining the clinic!). I was very sore afterwards--especially my left ovary and my blood pressure was pretty low so they kept giving me more fluids and had me drink some ginger ale. Finally my rate normalized. I'm feeling much better now too (except I just discovered that they never removed the the heartrate stickies and now they're melted into my skin (I'm allergic to band-aid adhesive). JOY.

We met the embryologist and she's sooo nice. She called herself our babysittter. :) She'll call tomorrow and let us know how many eggs fertilized. We're doing all regular insemination (no ICSI) this time so please say a little prayer that my eggs and Chris' sperm are in the "mood"! :)

Oh and I suppose you'd like to know how many eggs there are?

11. Right in the middle of Dr. Hottie's 10-12 prediction. He said they look really good. :)

Anyway, off to have some lunch!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Jen

PS Chris was disappointed with the "deed" room. Only two magazines and all the embryologists were milling about outside the room. Good thing he has no performance issues. ;)
