Tomorrow is the big day! And it looks like Dr. Hottie will be doing my ER. He asked me if that was good news and I giggled like a silly schoolgirl and said "Of course!" I went in this morning to have my HCG and other levels checked--I'm so sick of blood work!
I have an appointment with my endocrinologist this afternoon. I'm not looking forward to it--I know he'll weigh me and I've gained at least 7-10 lbs since the last time I was there in Sept. UGH these hormones! My Synthroid dose was too low (big surprise) when I had my TSH level rechecked two weeks ago and I suspect that my current dose isn't high enough either (takes a month before they can really tell). Which of course means that I'll be put back on the dose I was doing well on (before RE's office screwed up and increased it!). I'm either a little low or a little high--I think they need to mix up a batch just for me! :)
Anyway, getting back to IVF #2...
My E2 level yesterday was at 3140, which pleases me greatly. I asked Dr. Hottie (for the millionth time) how my lining is. He assured me that it's great and was perfect a week ago. He has no concerns about it at all. Phew. At last count, I had 10 follies on the left (14-23mm each) and 5 on the right (15-18mm each). Dr. H hopes for 10-12 eggs. That works for me!
I had my trigger shot last night at 10:30. We watched South Park before it so I was in high spirits anyway (that show cracks me up). I iced my left buttock (that word always makes me think of Forest Gump) for 20 minutes, prepared the injection and handed it to Chris for him to work his magic. Next thing I know I felt a little poke and I turned to say something snide ("Come on you pansy, inject the damn thing."). And he'd already done the shot. He is such a pro!!! My butt is sore today (this always happens after IM shots), but much less so than when I had doctors do the shots in the past. I'm so proud of him. Now let's hope he's as capable with PIO shots!
Tomorrow morning at 9:30 I have my ER. Chris is looking forward to his participation. hahaha
Happy Halloween to all!
PS I would just like to rant a little...we hired a company to repair our roof (we lost a shingle in the wind storm two weeks ago) and to rehang some siding that had come loose. We were told it would take 4 weeks for them to get to the job, but when I got home last night they'd completed it. They NAILED the two pieces of siding on. Now, we have vinyl siding which merely locks in place. You don't nail it on. I called Chris at work and the string of expletives that came out of my mouth would do any 17-eay-old boy proud. I was in such a RAGE (and let me tell you we paid a small fortune to have these minor fixes done--it's ridiculous). So last night the roofing guy called to let us know the job was done and I just handed Chris the phone...Chris then told the guy what had happened. Apparently, the guy was as disgusted as we were that his workers would be so stupid. He said "Did they at least use colored nails (i.e. to match the siding)?" They didn't--we've now go two pieces of siding with shiny steel nails everywhere. NOT GOOD. They are supposed to fix it today, but that means they need to get new pieces of siding...I can only imagine the fiasco this will cause. Why is it that people are so stupid and have no pride in their jobs?
Anyway, I digress.
