October 27, 2003

Hi!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I had my IVF buddies over for lunch and we had a nice time with our little "Survivor's Club" (that's what one DH calls it). Sunday was raining and yucky so I vegged on the couch most of the day!

I had my u/s and b/w on Sunday. It went ok. I have 5 follies on the right (we picked up a straggler) ranging from 10-14mm. On the left I have 9 (picked up 2 more) that range from 10-21mm. Yup, that's 21. :( I also had at least 2 17mm on that side. The nurse said I'll probably lose the 21mm follie, but the 17mms could go either way. My lining is (and I QUOTE!) "Nice and thick at 10mm." So that's really good news! The nurse said maybe Wednesday for the HCG trigger. My E2 was 1477--no worry of OHSS for me.

I went in this morning for another check--it's definitely going to be a busy week! Dr. Hottie was in and I definitely prefer his u/s technique!!!! Honestly, the nurse hurt me on Sunday (but it may not have been her fault--the left side is getting pretty cramped thanks to that one run-away follie!). Things were pretty much as they were on Sunday (follies grew a bit, of course). He also agrees that my E/R will probably be Friday--HALLOWEEN. So we’re getting there!

I have another acupuncture session today. On Friday, she focused on my ovaries (pressure points behind my ankles) and my uterus (a zillion needles in the tummy). My PH seems to be better so I'm hoping that helps! She told me to take a hot shower everyday as well as to soak my feet in hot water (so Chris went out and bought me a water foot massager---awwwwww.)
