My little ones
On Saturday, the embryologist called and told us we had 10 embryos--no fragmentation, all A or B quality! One of them was a late bloomer and he was already up to 3 cells! I really hope that little guy ends up being the ONE for some reason! I guess I always root for the underdog. ;) She and Dr. H were unsure what to do about transfer so she tentatively gave me a transfer time on Sunday--if they knew then which embryos were the best then they'd do a day 3 transfer. She said she'd call Sunday morning with their final decision.

Sunday we waited and waited for the call (supposedly she'd call between 8-8:30). Finally at 9, Dr. H called. He said that I had 9 embryos (but in the background I her the embryologist say TEN!) and that they were doing great. No fragmentation and ranging from 8-6 cells (I think, there could be some 4's). So they asked me if I wanted to play it safe and do the transfer that day, put back 3 and freeze the remaining 5-6. Or I could wait until day 5, put back 1-2 and have (most likely) nothing to freeze. The latter was his recommendation and what I wanted to start with (although it would have been nice to have all those frozen ones). I asked what if there are three tomorrow? Dr. H said I wouldn't have to twist his arm too hard to put 3 back given my history. He said my chances of triplets putting back 2 are 1/10,000 and if he puts back 3 it's 1/20. Of course, he also stated that he definitely doubts that would happen. But I have to accept the possibility of selective reduction. Which I have.

So that's the game plan. They'll call later with the transfer time and won't check my embryos until tomorrow morning (scary). I just pray that this was the right choice--I'm used to playing it safe!

I also have to call my accupunturist later to set up a session pre-ET. She does this to calm my body from the "trauma" and to hold the little embryos in place. She usually does it after ET, but I'm so hung up on pure bed rest that all I'm doing after ET is going right to the couch for 3 days!

The Cats
Tess and Fin are doing so much better! Thanks to everyone who posted ideas and support! :) Fin is 100% back to his normal impish self and Tess is about 90% her usual diva self now. She still growls and hisses at him from time to time, but Fin could care less. I even "caught" them playing last night. I suspect much of what Tess does is just a big ol' act!

I hope everyone is doing well and had a good weekend. I did. :) Of course I spent most of it cooking and cleaning (what I do when stressed!) and we went out for Mexican food (yes, again). Last night was pizza. Hmmm seems to me that I used to eat very healthy foods. I wonder what went wrong! ;)
