Jennifer's Diary Entries

February 11, 2004

Good morning!

I just got back from seeing Dr. H (awwww).

I'm still doing well (dare I write that?!?)--my lining is 7mm with that lovely triple band (Dr. H swears that anything between 7-8mm with a triple band is ideal--EFT etc. doesn't mean squat if you have that.). He said that my left ovary is "kicking butt" this time (actually it did last time too...which is odd since in all other cycles my right was the dominant force). I have 7 follicles on the left (10-14mm) and 5 (10+)on the right (with a few more that may/may not catch up). So as it stands right now we're at 12 still (which is good for me--I've long since given up the hopes of being a power responder!). He's really pleased which in turn pleases me. Oh Freud would have a field day with my Dr. H relationship. ;)

I brought Chris with me today and Dr. H walked in, looked at me and said "What's wrong?" Apparently he thinks I only bring Chris with me when I'm upset or pissed off. I told him that Chris should have to get up early some days too (the truth is Chris wanted to see the turkeys!)!

I will start antagon today or tomorrow (it prevents ovulation) and I'm guessing I'll trigger sometime this weekend (as long as the antagon doesn't slow me down). They will up my dose of gonal-F (to 5) if it looks like the antagon might do that...I should know today.

My E2 was 300 on day 5 and he said that's good (I'm thinking that's about what it was last time too).

I go back on Friday.

OH, I saw the turkeys in the bird cage--too cute!!! Chris made a point of looking at them twice. (For anyone who is lost, read a couple of diary entries back). I'm thinking I need to find a small nest of eggs to add to the cage. :)

Dr. H seemed a bit stressed today--poor guy. :(
