Well, I might as well call this cycle number six. My temperatures went down this morning so AF should arrive right on schedule tomorrow morning. This is the first month I've felt a little sad about the whole thing. I think it's because I know from temping that we timed everything right -- to no avail. I am not an emotional person -- and I rarely get mad or upset. But, I'm a bit embarrassed to say that I had a little cry this morning. My poor husband -- he just held me until I felt better. He's such a great guy -- and I know he will make a great dad someday! Any advice on how to cheer yourself up on days like these?
Well, I'll start by not wallowing! I have lots of fun stuff going on. My new dog is an absolute gem. Adopting her was one of the best decisions we've made. She entertains us and our other dog, and is cute and cuddly to boot. I'm still on a sewing machine quest. I can't believe how expensive they are. I know which one I want -- now I have to find one similar that I can actually afford:)
We're going up to Edmonton to visit DH's mother this weekend. She's recently moved into a retirement complex so we can't take the dogs with us. They'll go to a friend's house for the weekend. I'm going out dancing with some friends while there. I haven't been dancing in a long time and I love to spend time on a dance floor!
My dad is in town later this week and we're going to have dinner with him. One cool thing about having a pilot for a dad is that I get to see him all the time. I wish it were the same with my mom. She has pneumonia right now and with her illness it can be deadly. I was on pins and needles all weekend -- but they say she's definitely on the mend now. Her biggest problem is that she can't cough on her own, so she can't clear her lungs of all the fluid. But she sounded much more chipper this morning, so I think she's really feeling better.
Well, that's all from me. Hope everyone has a good and fertile week!
Jenn
