Hello everyone!
I had an awesome Thanksgiving weekend with the folks.
My mother and I shopped quite literally until we
dropped. I know I'm going to regret it when the Visa
bill arrives! But it was a tonne of fun. My mom had to
bring home one of our suitcases to fit all of her new
stuff. DH and my father spent the weekend insulating
our garage. Our bedroom is over the garage -- and with
these cold Alberta winters, we were rather chilly last
year! We built this house last winter and moved in at
the end of January, so we really got the brunt of the
winter weather last year. It's is so nice that my dad
and DH work well together. They've also built a deck
on the house and nobody was killed in the
process:)
We are in the middle of this month's BD fest -- fun, fun! I should O either tomorrow or Friday and then it's waiting time! I am so glad I now know when I O. This is the first month since we've been trying that we will actually be timing things correctly. So really, the other tries didn't even have a chance since we weren't BD'ing when I O'd! Positive thinking, right?
I took an extra day off work yesterday to make a four-day weekend. It was great. I really am struggling at work these days. I love the people I work with and I even generally like my clients (some of them!). But I can't say I actually like what I'm doing. My dream would be to open up a needle arts store -- one that catered to all the various forms of hand stitchery, from needlepoint to cross-stitch to quilting. But with DH's student loans and a nice big mortgage, it'll have to remain a dream for now. I just know that with my advertising/communications background, I'd be able to market this store in such a way as to make it a success! I'll just keep that dream tucked away for now.
Not much else to report here, so I guess I'll sign off. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Jenn
