TTC#1, C#5, CD#4
Well, as you can tell from the numbers above, AF arrived right on schedule. I actually anticipated her arrival as my temps were slowly plummeting, starting Friday, to well below my coverline. But it was neat to see a whole month charted. It looked exactly like I'd read about -- I just O'd later than I expected. As I said in last week's entry, I thought we had mistimed it and I guess we did! Now for this month I am armed with the knowledge that I O on CD#20 -- and we will use that to our full advantage!
It's been an insane week at work. We are in the final stages of one of our ad campaigns for this year, and that is always hectic. Getting client approvals, making sure we've got everything we need from a legal perspective -- whew! I'll be glad when the week's over. Actually, it's a long week for me. I have a conference on the weekend, starting on Friday. I'm not all that fond of those -- I kind of treasure my weekends! But as I've been in the same industry my whole career (a big five years:)), I at least get to see former coworkers from across the country.
I also signed up for yet another quilting course! This one is for an oversized flannel Santa pillow. I loved the beginner class so much, and I was so pleased with the end result, that I'm afraid I've become hooked! And this stuff isn't cheap. The classes are OK, but quilting fabric is surprisingly expensive -- I can't imagine how much it would cost to do a queen-size quilt.
I am also getting my planning together for Thanksgiving. My parents are flying in from Ottawa and I plan a grand feast! If anyone has any great recipes to share, please do! I wish we had a dining room table. Being the newlyweds that we are, we have yet to invest in very much furniture. We have the basic wood, round set from Ikea that everyone else has, and it's fine for the kitchen but it's so small that we'll end up with more of a Thanksgiving buffet. For all my American friends, Canadian Thanksgiving is on the 9th of October, so it's coming soon!
Well, that's all from me. I'm writing this just as I head out on my lunch hour and I think it's time to purchase some fall fashions!!
Best wishes,
Jenn
