TTC#1, C#4, CD#1
Yes, that's right, it's cycle day #1. AF arrived unceremoniously last night at 4 in the morning. I knew it was coming as I have been crampy since Sunday. But I still managed to waste another HPT on Tuesday evening, just in case they weren't AF cramps! I have been fighting a nasty cough since last weekend, and you know how it is when you get a cough -- you lie down and the hacking starts. So I was awake for the realization! I like to look on the bright side of things, though. I have felt so miserable all week and was afraid to take any cough/cold medication just in case. Well, now I can drug my cough away and maybe get a bit of sleep!

My DH has been away on business all week, and he gets back tonight around midnight. I know what his first question is going to be -- but he's a great support and he'll probably follow up with a grin and a "let's keep practicing" line!

Hey, on an aside, I went on the pill about 10 years ago and not because of a wild social schedule -- it was because of awful cramps. Now that I'm off the pill again, I had forgotten how bad they used to be. Holy moly!!

I know I shouldn't be too crestfallen about the whole thing -- we've only been trying for three months. This month I think I'm going to do some research. I'm going to pick up the TCOYF book, I'm going to track my temps and make sure all's well in that area. I think we'll even try Robitussin -- why not! I've learned a lot from the great women on the boards -- what a positive place to be!

On another front -- I am an avid stitcher. I love to work anything from cross stitch, to needlepoint, to hardanger -- whatever! I always love the fall for all of the terrific new classes that are available. It's like "Back to School" for adults! I'm taking a quilting class in a couple of weeks - I'm making a baby quilt (optimism is always there!). I received all of the newsletters from the various local stores over the last couple of days, and I spent last night cuddled up with the puppy and a pot of tea (since DH was away!) and read them all. Now I want to quit my job and become a full-time stitcher! I'm on a quest for a needlepoint "12 Days of Christmas" kit. I found a couple on the Net, but they were U.S. kits so prohibitively expensive in Canadian dollars!

I have my annual performance review today at work and what with the cold, the lack of sleep and now cramps -- I think I've earned an easy time of it:)

Here's to a fertile cycle!
