Hey there everyone!
Well I'm back from vacation and I have finally answered all of my email, gone through all my mail and answered all of my messages. I can't believe it took three days to do all of this. SO now it's back to real life!
We had a pretty good vacation. The only thing was that we didn't get to do what we wanted to do because of weather. Now, usually Southern Ontario roasts in the summer. We get there and it's rainy, cold and very windy. So the wind ruled out boating (they even had to cancel the Canada Day fireworks on Parliament Hill), and the rain rules out golfing. So it turned out to be more of an r&r kind of holiday. My mom and I did a tonne of shopping. My husband shook his head every time we came home with more bags (heheheh). And dh and Dad worked on an interlocking brick path so they did the whole male bonding thing. I did get to visit all of my girlfriends and a few had babies to play with. We got home Friday night and of course it is boiling here! It is never hot in Calgary. Well, rarely. It has been over 30 degrees (almost 90 for my American friends!) since Friday. And since it rarely gets hot in Calgary -- very few people have A/C -- us included. So we've been dying at night. Last night we gave in and threw a mattress on the floor in our unfinished basement. We slept MUCH better. And the weather is supposed to stay this way for the next few days. Blech!
I kind of hope it is hot on Friday though. I am having a big BBQ for 40 people at our place. It's a combination 30th birthday party for a friend/Calgary Stampede party. I've been baking treats all week and tonight I'm going to go out and get all of the salad stuff. MMMMMM BBQ.
As for the TTC front -- I'm afraid I am having my first annovulatory cycle. Here' the scoop. For the past 7 months I have been Oing anywhere from CD16-20. Before that it was longer -- up to CD25. But I am on CD22 today and no O. Plus I have no signs (i.e. CM of any sort). I am not temping, but I used an OPK from CD 16-20 and they were all negative. So either I Od before CD 16 -- which is highly unlikely, or something's up. Question for those with annovulatory cycles -- how long do you go before you take Provera? Just wondering "just in case."
Congratulations to the Jennifers on their pregnancies! I would love to be the third Jennifer to make that a triumvirate of Jennifer fertility! Good luck to Margaret on Tuesday – I can’t believe it’s time already!
Talk soon everyone,
Jenn
