Hey everyone!

So we spent most of the weekend building that $%#@$ fence! Actually -- it wasn't that bad -- it was just such a miserable weekend. It was damp and cold, with strong Northern winds. I was wearing my winter jacket for heaven's sake. When we started it last week I was wearing shorts. Only in Calgary!

Anyway - it's about 2/3 done so we're getting there. But I have to tell you -- I was ridiculously sore afterward. We carried out all the baords which were not heavy --but it was like many reps at low weight -- and they were awkward to boot. Plus I had to put all the brackets on the bottom of the fence, which meant contorting myself in every which position. And finally, I held onto all the boards while my DH and neighbor hammered them on. Now -- this is over 6 feet high and I'm only 5"4' -- and I had to hold them from the top. So I speant about 5 hours on my tippee, tippee toes -- with my arms stretched over my head. Fence building is like prolonged yoga!

But this all made it very clear that I am in terrible shape. Before my wedding last year I worked out 4 days a week for months and I was in the best shape ever. I lost a pile of weight but it was the muscle definition that made me look so much better. Well, I've slacked off since then, and to be honest -- I haven't been to the gym in several months! I weighed myself the other day and I have gained 10 pounds since the wedding. Food is only a small part of my problem -- I have to just get off my a** and move! I don't eat a lot -- I am just WAY too sedentary.

So now that I'm in the 2WW --I have come to this revelation and I'm not sure what to do. I know you're not supposed to start a new routine if you're pregnant (wishful thinking eh??). So for the next 10 days I'll just go for nice long walks with my dogs. Then after AF arrives -- I will start back at it again. But for that niggling "just in case," I think I should hold off anything too aerobic until my next cycle starts.

So -- as you probably guessed from above -- I did O -- I'm just not sure when. I took my temps on Friday and Saturday and they went up both days. So maybe Wednesday or Thursday? Who knows. I am determined to hold off testing until Friday the 18th. By then -- AF should have arrived so we'll see. Of course you know I'll never stick to it LOL!

I am headed to Seattle on Friday! I am so pumped! This site represents the first time I've ever chatted in cyberspace -- so this whole meeting people over the Internet is still very foreign to me! But the two girls I have met face to face have been great! I think you cultivate friendships online with the type of people you'd be friends with in "real life." We'll see if my theory holds water after this weekend -- if Jen doesn't kick me out to the mall after a few short hours:) Plus -- being around her pregnant-self can't help but be a positive omen (is that the right term -- I am so not superstitious!).

Well, this was longer than I intended it to be! Aimee -- I'll be thinking about you tomorrow at your drs. appt. I am so thrilled that Jerri Ann and Christina recently announced their pregnancies! I can't rememeber the last week we didn't have a positive result. I wonder who's next?

Positive thoughts to all,
Jenn
