Jennifer B's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 3, 2001

Hey everyone!!

Well, after bragging to the world that we have basically had a snow-free winter -- a snowstorm appears -- in April!! We have over 40 cm so far and it's still snowing. I've lived in Calgary for two years and we've never had this much snow. They claim it's supposed to be warm the rest of the week -- but it sure doesn't look like spring now!

So I managed to trudge into work today, although I'd much rather curl up with a book and tea and not leave the house at all! I was supposed to go for my movie night with my girlfriends tonight -- but that got cancelled due to inclement weather. Bummer!

As for the 2WW -- it's going! I'm just trying (unsuccessfully of course), to pretend I'm not waiting for anything significant. I am 5DPO right now -- so I still have a long time to wait. I'll just have to keep my fingers and toes and everything else crossed for the next nine days.

Hey I got to meet a diary writer on the weekend!! We drove up north to see DHs family for the weekend, and I visited Margaret (PG writer) while I was there. It was so great to put a face to a story!! And her little PG belly is so cool -- I want one! Margaret is the picture of a perfect pregnancy at 6 months. Hopefully I'll be able to join her soon. We gabbed for an hour and a half -- it was a lot of fun!

We were hoping to get our fence started this weekend --- but I don't know how we'd know our property lines with all of this snow!! PLEASE let it melt. I really want a fence so our dogs can run and play. They are so funny in the snow -- when they come in they look like two big snowballs. Then they want to cuddle their soaking wet boddies up next to you to warm up. Blech!

Oh and I wanted to say a few words for anyone who's having an HSG -- they're not that bad!! The HSG is very quick -- it's a bit uncomfortable but it's over in a minute. My problem was the screw-ups that the equipment was experiencing, and that I had to have two in two hours, one that lasted 15 minutes!! So don't be afraid (this is for you Aimee)!!

Good luck for everyone in the 2WW. It looks like there's a potential for Amy, Carmajo and I to be due date buddies. Wishful thinking -- but why not think positive.

Positive thoughts to all!

Jenn
