It has been sad day at our house. On Monday we went home and dh had found his Rott, Hercules dead. Must have been from the heat. So we took yesterday off work and have been crying pretty much nonstop. It is sooo sad. I have never lost a pet like this before and don't care too again. It's so tough on all of us. We had Hercules for 7and1/2 years and was Cory's buddy. And I mean buddy. He was a very good dog and sweet. We loved him to death. Cory said yesterday that he didn't know if he could go out to the dog house cause he wasn't there. But he did. It will be hard for a long time. It is so hard on me also. I never want to go through this again. We dug his grave in the pouring down rain and Cory said it was Hercules saying "See Dad I can be a mean dog!" Cause Cory would tell him to get our other dog Titan casue he would act like he did. They never hurt each other. Cory also asked his deceased Grandpa to look over Hercules while it was raining. It is such a saad thing to go through. I have a big knot in my throat right now. Then last night we went out to feed Titan and I just couldn't help but cry cause it
is just not right to go out and not see Hercules there too. It's rough and I hope none of you have to go through this. I wish none of us ever had to lose a pet that we cherished soo much. Another thing is when Cory would ask Hercules to talk to him he really would. He would start barking/whining in different tones. Cory would say talk nice and he would talk differently. Anyways..
Now our other dog is beside himself and is walking around and crying all the time. I feel so sorry for him. We are thinking of bringing him in the house for a few hours or so a night. Him and Hercules were never potty trained cause they just couldn't get the hang of it so they were both always outside dogs and now that Hercules is gone it's hard on Titan.
I can't seem to quit thinking of him. It's sooo hard..........
