Hi!
C#4, CD#27
Well, girls. Today is CD#27. Wonder if AF is just around the corner or not going to show at all? That would be a good surprise. Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. Sorry it's late, but I was so busy last week that I forgot about my entry. Sorry. One of the ladies here at work has had to take a lot of time off lately because of her husband’s health and I've had to do her job instead of mine and hers keeps you busy almost all day! LOL!
I included some pictures I took on our short trip to Kings Island in Ohio. The first one is of Drop Zone. It is the one I wrote
about that is 250 feet tall and drops you as soon as you get to the top. In this picture you can see the people sitting there
with their feet dangling. Then the second one is to show you the actual height of the Drop Zone. Then the third one is of the
new coaster there this year but it wasn't running the weekend we were there. I have many, many more pictures but I didn't
think they would all fit on this page. I am going to try to get pictures scanned of all my nieces and nephews and then I'll post
them here so you can see all of them.
So last week was busy. We went right after work Tuesday night to work on my grandmother's flowerbeds. Poor DH. He was soooo exhausted. He had a hard day at work and then went and worked his butt off again. Poor guy! Then Wednesday night we had to mow our yard and then go out and sit with my SIL and kids. They were camping and her DH works nights so she didn't want to be out there by herself. Then, Thursday night, we went back out there and set up our tent and got ready to camp for the weekend. Then, Friday night, after work, I had to go to the store and get home and finish getting things ready and get my car packed and get out there.
The first was my SIL's birthday, so we had to be out there for that too. Man was I ever busy. We had a fun weekend camping. I like sleeping in a tent. It just feels peaceful. Then Sunday before we left my niece wrecked her bike. She was doing a trick and she went to turn a corner and her hand slipped off her brakes on her bike and she slammed into the wall of the restrooms. So we all went running over there and made a sling out of DH's shirt and BIL's shirt.
So we took her to the ER in my town. Well they X-rayed it and weren't sure what they were gonna do. There was a possibility of surgery but they needed her to go to a different ER in a bigger hospital to check it out. They said she broke both bones in her arm and they were clean and complete breaks. So we went to a bigger town’s ER. A specialist finally came in and looked at it. He said he would try to set it without surgery and then X-ray it and see how it looked. Well she had been waiting for four hours in that ER by then. They tried to set it without giving her any medications and while she was in there all by herself. Well, I guess she fought them because it hurt soo bad and she was probably scared terribly. Being 10 years old, alone and scared. So they decided to do the surgery and she came out just fine and went home last night. So needless to say, we spent the entire day in ERs. But she has a cast now and hopefully it'll come out alright.
My DH is very sentimental. When we watch sad movies he's always the first to cry and all that. Well it broke his heart when she broke her arm. He just cried. He said he was like that because she was so brave and didn't cry a whole lot. And right after it happened her mom came running up and she said, "Don't worry Mom, I'll be OK." He said it tore him up. And whenever any of the kids are hurt or sick he always says he wishes it could be him and not them. He's so sweet. When she was in the ER she was crying for him cause he had to help with their camper and wasn't there yet. I think the reason all the kids do that when they get hurt is because he's like a best friend to them.
That's another reason why I can't wait until I have one of our own. It'll feel so good to see him holding our own and playing with them and being their best friend. So anyway, I was planning on coming home yesterday and resting and doing laundry and needless to say I didn't get to do that.
Oh, and my cousin had a baby on Friday. It was a planned C-section. The baby was breech and she didn't have much fluid in her so he wouldn't be able to turn around. She had a boy. His name is Cameron Harrison. Weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 inches long. Well my mom went over yesterday to see him and when she went he was sleeping. Well she told my mom that he couldn't be picked up because he was on a schedule. I've never been around a baby that you couldn't pick up while sleeping. So I thought that was a crock but that's her choice not mine. So, oh well. I'll make sure to call before I go over.
I don't really have much more to say. I don't have any plans for this week but to relax and maybe make invitations for my cousin's baby shower.
So until next time ++++ vibes.
Hugs, Jenn
p.s. I'll let you know if AF shows soon or not on my board. My fingers are crossed but I’m not getting my hopes up too high!
