Hello there. How is everyone doing? I hope everyone is doing well and thinking positive thoughts. I'm just in the waiting process now. I'm contemplating starting to chart and all that, at least temping. Not sure of that yet, but if any of you have any advice on that please let me know. I need all the advice I can get on all of this since I'm pretty new to this.
I have been chatting on BabyCenter for a while now and I have learned a lot from people there. I also got the book TCOYF and it has taught me quite a few things.
I hope everyone had a great weekend. I did all except Friday night. I spent about two hours in the ER. Well this is how it all started. My husband and I had just finished BD'ing and I got this excruciating pain in my lower abdomen. It hurt so bad I could hardly walk and when I did I had to hold my stomach. It felt like something had exploded or something. I'm not quite sure what it felt like but it hurt. I was going to wait it out and see if it got any better but it hurt so much I told DH we had better go to the ER. So we went out there and they took blood and listened to my stomach. The tests came back OK so they done a pelvic exam.
They said it could be a few things. It could be a cyst or fibroid on one of my ovaries, or it could be mittleschmerz or it could just have been a bad burrito. He told me to take ibuprofen for the pain and if I had any more pain that weekend to go see my doctor on Monday. Well, no more pain over the weekend so that's good. But I am going to schedule an appointment to have a U/S done to check for cysts or fibroids. I hope it isn't anything serious.
And the whole time in the ER, DH was hoping they were gonna come in and say I'm PG. No such luck on that part. But they did test for being PG and it was negative. But I was CD 18 and my cycles have been 26 days. So I think it may have been too early to show up ++. Not sure but I'm hoping it was too early to show up. Who knows. But anyway, that's what happened with me.
I thought I'd let you all know about this so when I talk about it you'll know where I'm coming from. I have psoriasis and have psoriatic arthritis from it. It is a hereditary skin problem that I got from my Grandfather. And I had had problems with my toes and my wrist always hurting so I finally went to my doctor last fall. Well I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. It is very painful. I have a prescription for Prednisone but for those of you who aren't familiar with it, it is not good for your body if you take it for an extended period of time. So my prescription is that I only take it for six days. I asked my OB/GYN since we are TTC now if I should take it or not and she looked it up for me. She said that if I take it and I am PG and do not know yet, that it can cause cleft palate deformities. So when I get AF, I can take it for that six days but if I'm in the middle of my cycle I can't take it. So it's very trying right now. The most painful spots are in my neck/shoulder and my wrist. But I guess I'll live.
My mom got a new puppy about a month ago and he is a cutie. It is a sheltie and they named him Buddy. He is so cute!! We have four fur-children. We have two dogs and two cats. The dogs are Hercules, a Rottweiler, and Titan, a mix between Rott/Chow/Lab and German Shepherd. As my DH says a Heinz 57. And our cats are Cloey, a Persian, and a Himalayan named Sylvester. They are our children for now.
I think this is a long enough post for now. So I'll chat with y’all later!
++++++++ thoughts only!!!!!
TTFN
