Jenn's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 24, 2000

Hi! Great to be here! I have been reading all the other diaries for a few months now and thought it would be neat to write one of my own so here goes.

My name is Jenn and I'm 24 years old. My wonderful, loving husband Cory, is 25 years old. He is a laborer and works for his father, which is good and bad at times. I do clerical work for a university now. I am a licensed cosmetologist and I worked in a hair salon for almost 5 years. I decided that I wanted to get a job with health insurance so I moved here. We live in central Illinois. We both grew up here and we'll probably always stay here.

We've been married for 5 years this May. Boy, how time flies. We have been inseparable for 8 years now. We have a very great marriage and both our families are very loving and supportive of us. Although my mother is very anxious for us to have a baby.

We have discussed TTC before and both decided that we want children very much and we feel we're both ready now. We have been around many children before now. He has two nieces and two nephews. And I also have two nieces. His nieces are Becky, 10 years old and Racheal who is 5 years old. Racheal has cerebral palsy due to complications during labor. His nephews are Kenny, 2 years old and Callum who is 3 months old. They are all cuties. My nieces are Shaylee, 10 years old and Kayla who is 7 years old. My parents are raising Kayla, but I will get into that in another post. It's a long story.

I had been on the pill since I was 14 so that's almost 11 years. I went off them in late January and had my wisdom teeth cut out on Feb. 4th. We started TTC on Feb 6th. It has been two full cycles now and nothing has happened yet so we are just waiting. It has been disappointing when AF shows but I have decided that if we don't get PG soon, that's OK too. We're not really fond of having a baby in December or January so we're just gonna go with the flow and let things go as they usually do and see if it happens. I decided that when we first started TTC that I wouldn't chart until we tried for 3 months and nothing happened. But now it will be longer.

We have decided that if I'm not PG by the time all the amusement parks open that we are gonna go there for a short vacation. We love going to them and riding all the coasters, so if I'm not PG that's what we're gonna do. So, since I haven't been charting, I really can't tell when or if I'm ovulating. I know the first cycle that I paid attention to was 29 days and the last two were 26 days. I don't ever notice any CM so it's hard to tell when I O.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Easter. We had a nice day. We first went over to my in-laws for an Easter egg hunt and dinner. I didn't eat much there cause we had to leave early to get to my parents’ for dinner. I fixed a casserole for both places. I had a nice time visiting with my parents and my Grandma.

Well I think this is a long enough post so I'll cut it here.

With Love and ++++++ thoughts for all of you,
Jenn
