Jen H's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

Introduction

Well, so much for my preconception diary! I'm currently 18 days past ovulation, my temps are still high, and if that wasn't enough of an indicator, the positive result on the pregnancy test sure was! I am so excited, and if I can get through the next few weeks, I'll be ecstatic.

So far, my symptoms have been pretty mild, slightly sore breasts and vague nausea if I wait too long to eat. When I was pregnant with my son, morning sickness wasn't too bad as long as I slept well, so I'm trying to be proactive this time around and just get 8-10 hours before I start feeling yucky.

I'd like to take a blood test, to confirm that all is growing as it should, but the insurance companies are being particularly anal, and since the home tests are so accurate now, they don't do the serum test unless there might be a problem. LOL, I feel like the first time around, where I had this horrible fear that I'd have my first pre-natal appointment and find out that I was never really pregnant at all.

One really funny thing that happened was that after I told my husband, he turned to our son and said, "Jason, you are going to have a little brother or sister!" To which Jason replied, "Uh-oh!" Little does he know.

I'm sorry that I didn't get to spend more time here (well, not too sorry, but you know what I mean!), but hopefully we'll all be reading each other's pregnancy diaries soon!
